Why Was My Preset Comment Deleted?
All comments posted to the Preset Library are reviewed.
Even though new comments show in the Preset Library immediately, they still go
through the review process. This process takes typically less than 1 business day, but
sometimes it can take several days. This means that comments may "vanish" a few days after you
have posted them.
Rule of thumb: Only comments that apply to the current preset are approved. If your comment is about
anything else than the preset, it will be deleted.
Following are the top 10 reasons why comments are deleted:
- Your comment contains no useful information. For example: "This preset sounds interesting, I will
try it tonight". Comments like this will be deleted.
- Your comment contains a personal insult, a response to a personal insult, non-constructive or
sarcastic remarks, jokes, tests, or similar.
- Your comment is directed to a single individual. For example: "Can the author please post a new
version of this preset". Comments like this will be deleted. Personal comments should be send via
email. If email address is not specified, the person doesn't want to receive emails, thus you cannot
contact them. In this case, the only way to try to contact the person is through the
BrainWave Generator mailing list.
- Your comment contains foul language. Any comment containing f-words or similar will be deleted.
- Your comment is not understandable. Please pay attention to what you are writing. Spelling
errors alone are not a reason for deleting comments, but sometimes comments are simply not
understandable. If we have trouble understanding a comment, it will be deleted. Yes, it may be
our fault that we do not understand what you're trying to say, but in such case it is very likely
that many others do not understand you either. Please write so that dummies (like us) can understand you.
- Your comment contains a request that is relevant only to yourself. For example: "Please
send me a WAV version of this preset". Comments like this will be deleted. Please post comments
that are interesting to a broader audience.
- Your comment contains general information about the area covered by the preset. For example:
"My experiences with telekinesis are XXX" (under a Telekinesis preset). Comments like this will
be reviewed and are subject to deletion on a case-by-case basis. If there is no good enough link
with the preset, the comment will be deleted.
- Your comment is asking for help about a BrainWave Generator feature. For example: "How can I
burn this preset to a CD?" Comments like this will be deleted. Help requests should be posted
to the BrainWave Generator mailing list instead.
- Your comment is written in another language than English. We accept only comments written
in English, other comments will be deleted.
- You posted the same comment under several presets. Duplicate posts will ALWAYS be deleted.
If your comment is about more than one presets, a better place for it is the
BrainWave Generator mailing list.
