BUILTIN: Meditation 2 (deep)Submitted: 15-May-2000 by

This is the first (and only) one i've used so far. The first time I felt like i'd fallen in love and wept. The second time was , by comparison, very disapointing but recognisable as meditative state similar to that I had achieved by occasional TM. Third time was similar. The fourth time got into another blissed out state , was bouyed up by exalted thoughts and felt immense compassion towards myself even as I spontaneously experienced a devestating insight into my own life. The fifth time I lost consciousness, came to in the twentieth minute , nodded off again and finally awoke after an hour had elapsed. I use an MP3 burned to CD, a pair of cheap headphones from a budget shop and a Discman that a friend of my son sold me.

I found it very hard to meditate on this, I've only tried a few times but I can't seem to concentrate enough. I've done un-aided meditation many times, so it is not really a question of improving meiditation technique. Should I still concentrate on breathing as per usual or concentrate on the frequency?

I find that these are the kind of presets that get you lost, I just put my head down and listened to this on my 5.1 surround speaker settings and the most frigthtening thing was that the sound I was hearing came from my right side, to behind me to my left side and almost hit me in the face, I mean its terrifying for me, left me paranoid

strange but i felt something like that too. with 5.1 most of the presets somehow seems to have stronger or weirder effects than with headphones. with 5.1 i mean only 4.0 , only 2 front and 2 rear satellites and without the subwoofer. it takes some time while i find the right spot where i hear the sounds "evenly". I think this spot finding works like fine tuning but it possibly change the frequency what i hear, from the preset ment to cause. |

you should use headphones ONLY or it won't work - surround does split signal into channels and binaural beats are lost

I didn't use headphones, but I passed out for 7 hours, completely lucid dreaming - so detailed and intense were my dreams, I thought they were real. When I woke up, I was surprised at my surroundings.... I couldn't believe my world was that way. After a while, I remembered falling asleep, but it was like waking up from the dead. I was energetic, relaxed, and focused for three days after that, and didn't need more than two hours of sleep a night.

Nice preset. I'm a bit hyper at the moment so I'm not really trying to editate so much. but I'm aware that my thought process is occuring in an altered fasion (if that makes any sense to you).

I have been using this preset for 10 days. It really works. My body becomes more and more relaxed and eventually I totally become unaware of my body. At this point images start appearing and it feels like I am dreaming. The images are quite clear. However this stage does not last long. I hope that this stage will become more deeper and longer with the time so I will continue with it.
