yes, the fourth plateau is real, but to achive it one must find a way to prolong the experience over 16 hours. in my experience, anti-depresants (SSRI's) along with over 1gr taken thoughout a 5 hour period will achive the fourth plateau. it is mindblowing, but it is not pleasant for everyone.

I used to do some dxm, one time i thought two black dogs were fighting right above my head in thin air, not sure what plateau it was but it was kinda scary. do you think that if you listened to this for a shorter time, you would get to second or third? im planning on trying this one when i have some spare time

Ive achived the 4th plateau on all of my trips accept for my first i take a gram to a gram and a half depending on when i did it last... the shit that go'son in ur mind is encredible... the 2nd time tripN on dxm (1st time to achieve the 4th plateau) i was sittN at home with my mom and step dad tlakN and all the suddN my mom turned in to a gorrila with a purple bikini on and was trying to kill me with a butcher knife ... obviously she knew something was up cuz i was running around screaming dont kill me ... but it all get petter once she drove me to my dads i sat and watches the black screen of a turned off tv and it was encridible my trip lasted all night and i was still buzzed the next morning when i went to school i had no memory of what went on un till i talked tomy mom later that night

No one here knows what they are talking about, the fourth plateau is more than 15mg/kg i'm 75 kg, or 160 pounds so 1125 mg of dxm is a fourth plateau dose for me. I recently took 1260 mg and reached the fourth plateau. I have been at third plateau level a few times and to be honest, the fourth is hundreds of times stronger than the third. The trip felt 30,000 years long, and i believed it was real, didn't even realize I was on dxm anymore. Left my body several times, and my mind created a body and I ended up with two bodies, both with a mind, in two different places, and i was in control of both independently. And I had the power of God, creating realities by the hand gesture. Absolutely insane and unhuman experience.

shannon experienced it, however, using dxm at a shamanic dose for recreation is not the best idea. This type of trip is for those into serious psychonautical mind and self exploration. "It is real" was referring to plateau sigma, which is when a fourth of third plateau dose is maintained as stated. This is different than the fourth, and is extremely dangerous to the mind, psycotic breaks are a real possiblility, not to mention the damage possible to the body. You are risking death.

I have done very, very, very extensive DXM use throughout the years(rehab for cough syrup addiction, pretty sad huh) and when i did the pure form i usualy would do about 3 grams on a given night, with 1g for the first and about 500 every hour or so. Well, with the prozac i was on at the time, it was an incredible experience(s). I achieved what some would call the "sigma" plateau, different from a 4th, but not necessarily harder.. i was in this stage one time, in the morning, and the only thing i can describe it as is the feeling an animal might have, or even a maybe. Meditation books call this the "beginners mind" just taken a whooole lot farther thru the DXM, when you get down to the savage instincts of animals, you realize what an incredibly futuristic age we are living in, with sleek metal things driving around at 60miles an hour and whatnot. I find it very hard to believe that binaural beats could get someone up there.. but you never know, maybe if an experienced shaman/meditator, tries it, and knows what to look for, maybe they could achieve it? Well, my experience and thought on the subject, .. just one more bit of advice, i have had some serious serious health issues(extreme case tachycardia), and i would NOT recommend doing dex to anyone, especially if your a kid, and especially if your on ANY anti depressant.. i know it sounds like alot of fun, and it is, dont get me wrong, but it seriously isnt worth the risk*no not risk, a risk is something that might happen, if you do dex your health WILL suffer, without a doubt in some way, youll be hurting your body*

The first time I took DXM was like being born again. I think the first time I reached the third plateau. It's hard to describe the out of body experience. I was taking Coricidin and it was great. There was a carnival that night and me and some friends (which were frying with me) were getting ready to go. At that moment it hit me, and I felt like I was going to die. I got all hot all of a sudden and then got cold, and I thought shit, I'm gonna die, but after about 10 minutes I got up and I felt like god. We went to the carnival and it was really weird, all the music was playing and lights flashing, people talking to me and I didn't understand them very well. We rode the ferris wheel, which was a trip, and went in a fun house which I kept falling down. I recommend using DXM, but only the weekends, and some breaks during the year. It is the greatest high ever.

Using Chems to achieve a state of Mind is not suggested. You can achieve everything with Dedicated Effort.. Dont take the quick easy way there will not be long lasting effects.

About a year ago, I was HEAVILY into DXM. I took it about 3-4 times a week....even during school hours. My friends used to be able to get Pure DXM, a powder that we used to pack into pills. This DXM was made from actual chemical plants...it's just the pure form before it's mixed into the cough medicines. The point is...it's very potent. I used to trip so often that in order to get a really good trip I would have to take 1.5 pills from my friends (approx. 750 mgs) They would pack an extra half pill to give me during my trip so that I could prolong it. Well, one night at a party I went to my friend to get me extra half of a pill and he had given it out already, so he just gave m another full pill. 1000 mgs of pure DXM in my system. By the end of the night, I couldn't even remember my own name. One of my friends looked at me and here was our convo (I thought I was in the matrix": R:" "T--you are THE ONE" Me: "I AM??"---in a terrifed voice... R:"You have the mark!!" Me:"WHERE?!?!" ---looking around for a mark on my arms to signify that I was truly THE ONE I honestly was so far gone that I thought I was Neo in the matrix...BEWARE....DXM is a horrible drug....and I will never take it again. I've done so much DXM in Coricidin that everytime I try to trip...I black out...my memory is faded...it wasn't worth it.

ah man dude coricidin is one of the worst ways to take dxm you get massive eye pains and it can cause alot of permanent problems. its got something else in it. robitussin is just about straight out dxm, the other stuff in it doesnt do much, its all just glucose shit. the pills are great, i spent a while doing syrup and it was nasty. the pills save a lot of displeasure

i agree with frank on that point. you may have to take an assload of those robotussin pills but it is a lot better than taking the risk with coricidin. oh yeah, DimX is a douche. Someone who thinks they can achieve with dedicated effort the same things that chemical abuse is dumbass, and i doubt DimX has ever done any heavy drug experimentation. First of all, the years of dedicated effort you put into achieving these things can totally destroy the purpose of the feeling. DXM can send you from a total state of awareness to a completely separated state of confusion and total out of body experiences in about an hour. This may not be for everyone, but there is no type of dedicated effort over years of time that can create that type of instant gratification. I do DXM about once a month. When I do it I want results then, and I sure don't want to have to work my ass off to get them. Teressa should refer to my previous post where i bitched at Jesse. The reasons for your bad experiences are clear in your post. They are caused by YOUR OWN STUPIDITY, not the drug. Don't bash something because you were dumb enough to abuse it and take advantage of it.

I listened to this preset for an entire night, something around like 10 hrs or so, i wasn't on any real drugs but i had smoked some weed like usual. Anyways, i put this on and put on the fullscreen thing and at around 3-4am the screen stopped flashing and started going crazy, like a winamp visual preset and i could no longer hear the preset but instead i was hearing what sounded like 8-bit nintendo music, it was extremely difficult to move, like i was having a waking dream and i couldnt escape. It was quite unexpected and thus scared me some.

I have experinced dxm alot in mylife and have been in every plateo there is. The truth is its risky and scary to go to the fourth plateo but its so enlighting that it is worth it. You will wake up again in your life, and learn whats really important. The fourth Plateo is known as a wake up call. So wake up everyone and see where your life is taking u.

Obviously if you can participate in any activities at all, you're not on the 4th plateau, you're most likely between the first and second. The 4th plateau is essentially a coma-like experience, you're OUT OF IT. Seems to be a lil confusion here about plateaus.

I've had a 3rd and MILD forth plateau experience. It's something that after its happened you never look at life the same way again. I went to the bathroom and came back to find my own body still laying in bed. When I went into hallucinations I would see many different geometric shapes and images, some moving some stationary. Everything was very bright and colorful. Even electronics around you will to your knowledge start going crazy. TV sreens will scramble and voices will become distorted. I've had extensive experience with DXM at lower doses, never to excede the 2nd or maybe a mild 3rd plateau experience. I can tell you that someone without experience on DXM could rewire their conscience at the 4th pleateau and become a totally different person. I've even heard stories of people realizing that they knew how God made the world and that they could do the same thing. This is NOT a drug that should be done at those kind of doses for "recreational use." It should only be used by those looking to explore themselves and what they believe is reality.

What dex said above is pretty much spot on. I remember very little about the 4th plateau. I remembered simply laying there and in my head I was floating in black space, with a constant music stream in the background that repeated itself every like 10 seconds it seemed. FWIW - that could of just been a dream in my coma state. I was gone for a good 3-4 hours. When I woke up in the morning, I got up, looked at the clock...stood around, looked at it again, and a substantial amount of time had passed with me just standing there, upwards of about 45 minutes. I felt 2/3 plateau levels until the afternoon, and I started around 9PM the night before. Yeah...its nothing you will ever be coherant during, you will remember very little. But you will start to see the world a bit differently

Yes, grapefruitjuice is good, but Coricidin has an antihistamine in it, which is a very potent CY-p450 2D6 inhibitor. dont take it in mass quantities though. i'd say no more than 32 pills a day. that is unless u want to achieve the crowning achievement of Dextromethorphan use; plateau sigma

I've recently started taking dxm. Specifically, triple c's. I started this unaware that triple c's is considered the most hazardous to your health. Anyways, I've had a couple 4th plateau experiences while on triple c's. I wasn't frightened at all. After I took them I waited about an hour and nearly passed out. I lost all motor controls to my entire body and started to trip hardcore. I felt like I was going through worm holes in space. It was amazing. Also these experiences felt time-less. What felt like months was probably maybe me 6-8 hours passed out on my friends bed. hey . ive read alot of these stories you guys are all telling, ive only read one person whos really met the 4th plateau...ive got there.. only once .. but it was unbelive able.. i couldnt move for about 5 or 6 hours. i was there stuck .. with my head phones on listeing to my ipod.. all techno .. i was soaring around the room .. looking at everyone .. you know the out of body feeling.. i saw my self liek 20 feet away .. it was so good.. my head was so clged .. i coudlnt even speak a word .. all muble.. i had 1200 mg of dxm .. 1only 800 was pure.. rest was coricidin cough and cold.. but i only had one side bad thing about them.. about the 7th hour .. i would all the sudden apear in different place.. i wouldnt remember how i got there.. and then i would appear in the bathroom and then i couodnt piss .. it wouldnt come out.. ad hard as i tried and it feltliek i had to go bad.. then all the sudden id wake up on the couch with my heead phones on again .,. and go into another world of swirlss.. and bright colors:) .. its amazing.. plz dont lie about ur trips people .. its ok if u havent got to the fourth plateau.

well matt.. i'd say thats some good tripping stories, the most dxm i've taking at one time was 1000mg and that was either a Very high 3rd plateau/low 4th plateau..but 1-4 plateaus are boring, its all about Plateau Sigma; all the thought altering delusions from DXM,but no stoning body high from DXO. its so simple all you need is about 1200mg of dxm and take it in 3rd's (400mg) every 3-6 hours and you'll hit it. it lasts Quite a while once you truly get their; on average i'd say about 16 hours. and to describe plateau sigma, on a normal dxm trip above 600mg objects seem to shuffle kinda, but on sigma your hole field of vision changes.

I first started tripping on dxm about a year ago. At first i toke 240mg and couldnt beleive what was going on. From there on i started to increase my dosages. At the time i was tripping out every day and thought i was in some sort of dream world. The weird and strange thoughts that came out of my mind were imanagable.About 7 of my freinds used dxm and 1 of them was using as heavily as i was. we would steal the stuff from stores which people would never expect me to steal so it was easy.Then i discovered THERAFLU THIN STRIPS the purest form of dxm. By this time i was using it for about 3 weeks straight and about 500mg 3-4 times a day. Then I toke 1000mg. I thought i was going to die. It was the most scary and wonderful and insane thing ive ever done . I understood everything in great clarity unlike ever before. I felt connected to everthing and for a while i thought i was going to die but i didnt. Since then i distributed forms dxm to about 50 people. Most of them didnt beleive the potential this easy to get drug has but they came to beleive. If you are going to use this drug remember it seems very real and is insanley fun but dont beleive in it too much.

ok I just readed the hole conversation, and I tried my first DXM experiment about 6 years, I had bad and realy good trips but then for a year I tried my first time Ketamin and I was realy surprised, wher is hier the diffrents? had no chance get again DXM, cause I living now in irland and bevor in swizerland and ther is it realy easy to get the poor stoff. so I just realy wondering had sombody els tried ketamin? I think the only diffrent is the work time, the ketamin just works about an heur but no adverse effects.

the 4th plateau isn't the extended hardcore dex experience. 4th plateau is something like 19mg/kg body weight or more around 1.4 g for an average sized adult american male (about 72 kg body weight). the experience itself lasts anywhere between 8 and 12 hours. when you extend your dosing to experience the most bizarre, introspective dissociation by taking doses in repeated intervals, it's called Sigma Plateau. I've had 2 4th plateau experiences (both times were via 1444 mg DXM and 192 mg CPM - 3 boxes of coricidin cough & cold) and 1 sigma plateau experience (1920 mg DXM - 4 boxes of ciricidin. i took 2 boxes, waited about 2 hours, took another, waited about 2 hours, and took another). my sigma plateau experience was the most intense spychedelic journey i've ever had, and i hardly remember any of it. it lasted somewhere along the lines of 20 hours, and after coming back to my body, i slept for almost an entire day straight, but still suffered the after effects upon awakening.

For some reason,which I have trouble believing myself,DXM unlocked some kind of "Psychic" thing for some time.One time I drank about A large bottle and a half of robutussin extra strength.And later on when it hit me hard me and my girl where sittin around chillin and I said something to her bout her necklace which she lost a while back.According to her I said something like "I see your necklace" or "I found it or something to that effect.we both thought I was just tripping but later that evening we went to her house and her mom gave her the necklace becouse she found it and we just looked at eachother.MANY other experiences like this but to insignifigant to remember,like what commercial was coming on next or song on the radio or hey someone's at your door then 10 seconds later ding dong.Id like to say there coincidences but I dont believe in them. :P

i had a 3rd plateau trip and it was wild. all i remember from the trip was taking 35 coricidin pills about 8pm ( i was upset that night because my friends wouldnt come pick me up) anyways, i remember passing out and waking up a few hrs later around 11 pm and fresh prince of bel air was on tv and i started to watch it and i couldnt understand why there was laughter coming from the television when the people on the tv show did something. it really confused me. so then i go to the bathroom because i knew i had to throw up and i did i threw up all this dark pink color and i couldnt breath and i vowed never to take coricidin again.

My first time tripping, I took 1500Mg Dextro. Thats 50 Triple C's. It ws my first time ever tripping, and the person I did them with has been an DXM addict for 7 years. I didn't even know feeling like this was possible. I literly thought I had died, and was juss rotting away. I had moonboots, the feel of 0 Gravity. It was like all my muscles were flexed as i tried to stand up, kind of like a robot. My eyes started bleeding, and I didn't even notive. Keep in mind this is my first trip ever, and I had only smoked Marijuana for about 1 year. I thought 12 Blunts was fucked up. I was in for a treat..I tripped from 6:00 p.m. until about 8 or maybe 9ish the next day. It felt like I was tripping for possibly a few days strait.It was like every minuite, was a hour itsself. I had alot of commotion go on, running up the stairs of my buddy's apartment, and looking at the clock and only 2 mins had gone by. I end up at the 4th plataue. From about 9 A.m. til 7 p.m. I could no longermove, it felt like I was falling in infinity, and if I tried, I would be able to make it end. But I didn't want it to end. I remembered that the remedy for a bad mushroom trip was Valiums. So I stole 6Green v'cuts from my moms purse, and it did help my paranoia, but I've never been that fucked up. I end up at the hospital, they pumped my stomach. I kept bleeding from my eyes on and off throughout the whole expirence. The whole time my buddy was telling me to be quite and I'm ruining his expirence. Now I only take 600MG(20) at the most. I want everyone to consider my trip, and don't let a rookie be intermeaned with a Veteran of Veterans.

sup guys, for everyone on this forum i would jus like to say 4th PLATAUE IS REAL. obviously lol. iv been robo tripping for about a year now, my first dose was 300mg and that was so strong back then i was in probobly a mid 2nd plataue. my experiance with the 4th is big, i dosed 1000mg 2 times in 3 days and the first time was fun and i had a great trip. be careful cuz 3 days later i found myself in my head going crazy calling new jersey numbers to tell pie makeing companys to make me pies and cakes with dxm in it to make me trip balls lol. but that trip was half bad half good so BE CAREFUL! it felt like it lasted forever. I <3 robo :D

Listen to me..., I have never hered of the plateaus y'all speak of but I have surely passed them all....if you know was upp and or down whith dxm then you know WAS UPP AND OR DOWN. Its a two way tripp there and back you eather keep yourself or loose yourself.

Not that anyone would ever believe me, but I need about 80 coricidins (2,400 mgs) to get high, but when I take it the feeling is hard to explain, I find myself sitting in a chair but literally feeling like I'm floating (or on a porch swing like my last DXM trip) DXM is a bad drug no doubt, it got me kicked out of school now I'm sitting at home like a loser posting on drug forums tgat are 6 or 7 years old, it's crazy to think about the trips I've had tho I'm not sure if ive ever hit a fourth plateu ( I've been doing it since last April Nd never heard of it till last month, but surely I've felt it right? I've done it so much that everytime I take the pills the feeling of them in my mouth make me throw up (I can't eat m&ms; or skittles because it reminds me of the feeling of the pills dropping into my mouth and I just get so grossed out. But back to the trip, I took cori and played some pacman and holy begesus I felt like god, then done sky rim (the trippiest game to play on DXM) I felt like I was in the game it was all me casting spells and shit. Honestly I know the drug is awesome and so much fun (for the most part)
