Subharmonic

Many cortical and sub-cortical areas of the brain have spontaneously occurring 40-Hz activity. A theory has been proposed in which the brain has certain resident resonant frequencies, that are subharmonics of 40-Hz activity; I.E. 13.3-Hz, which is the third subharmonic and 8-Hz, which is the fifth subharmonic.

Other frequencies with known cognitive and mental processing relation ships and mathematical associations to 40-Hz include "Frontal mid Theta" at 6.5-Hz (sixth subharmonic) and Theta at 4-Hz (tenth subharmonic). It is believed that exploring the brain's 40-Hz and its many subharmonics, may provide further insight into the mechanics of the brains processes.

This 45 minute, single voice preset takes advantage of this theory by starting at the 1/2 harmonic and then descending and holding at the 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1/11 & 1/12 th harmonics (using longer hold times in the deeper theta frequencies.) It also drops slowly into the upper delta after a ten minute entrainment at the bottom end of the theta spectrum. After ten minutes at 4 Hz. there is a one minute slide to 3.6-Hz. (For eliciting long-forgotten subconscious childhood memories) followed by an eight and one half minute slide to 3.3-Hz (mid-delta - 1/12 subharmonic.) It is at this point where one can take advantage of a holding on to their current state of awareness, (body asleep, mind awake) as we normally only enter this level in a state of sleep.

At the end there is a rapid three minute slide from 3.3-Hz. to 20-Hz. as a "return-to-awake signal" followed by a thirty second increase in carrier with a descending volume.
