Hi all,
Some time ago a message containing a virus was sent to the BrainWave
Generator mailing list. Its subject was "Lucid dreaming", it contains
the text shown below, and it containts an attachment called Happy99.exe.
> I am studing the world of dreams, and in particular, the lucid dreams.
> I wonder if there are some preset for the brainwave-gen for this =

DO NOT RUN THE HAPPY99.EXE FILE! It contains a virus. If you have
already run it, you should obtain an anti-virus program to clean
your system.
Carlos Gaya, if you did not deliberately send the virus, you should
do a thorough check of your system, because it is probably infected
with the virus. For security reasons, further mails from you are
not delivered to the mailing list.

burn wav on a CD

Hello
I have some problem to burn wav create with BrainWave Generator, I use
Adaptec software, the soft tell me that the format is invalid.
It's work only if I convert the wav to 44.1 kHz (the problem is that you
lose in quality)
Could you tell me why BrainWave Generator record the wav in 44 kHz and not
in 44.1 kHz
TIA

The rule of thumb is that half the frequency is equal to the high end of the
frequency range. In other words, 44khz= 22khz left and 22khz right. If the
.wav file has some 20hz components, the the frequency range would be
20hz-22khz. Few humans have an aural frequency response that good! Don't
worry about it. The important thing is the binaural beats.
Now, if the file is for your dog to listen to... ;-{)

You can record in 44.1 kHz directly from BrainWave Generator by
selecting Advanced Options from the Options menu, and entering 44100
in the "Samples per second" box. Then select the Play into .wav file
command again, and the output will be in 44.1 kHz format.

Most programs that allow you to write to a CD will allow you to create =
Audio CD's from .wav files. Some also let you use .mp3 files. Two =
examples are Adaptec's Easy-CD creator (www.adaptec.com) and Nero. The =
.cda files are just Windows way of representing an audio track from a CD =
in Windows Explorer.=20

Psychological effects X physical Symptoms

Daily we observed people's reports that
say to obtain beneficial effects with brainwaves
sounds. Relaxation, meditation, sleep, etc. Even
so, many of those effects can simply be obtained
     with music, maybe more easily.
Then, I want to know if somebody here gets
to reach those mysterious vibrations that come into
the head and invade the whole body, that is to say,

Yes, I've reached the vibrational state several times.
Some people say it is the penultimate step before
leaving the body (OBE). It can be difficult to
maintain thought control when in the vibrational
state, IMO, which makes hinders visualization
techniques for OBE.
Your body is not visibly vibrating when in this state;
I believe the vibration feelings are qi (chi) pulsing
through your body (odd feeling, isn't it?); the link
between qi circulation/cultivation and altered states
of consciousness is something that's still a mystery
to me.

I don't know if this is related, but it happened to me and maybe
someone had a similar experience.
One day, after a long, tiring day shopping, my wife and I came home,
and had sex. Exhaused, we both went to sleep. Halfway through, I had
what I guess was a semi-lucid dream, or I was dreaming about sleeping,
I don't know. I never had a lucid dream before, so I'm not sure that
this was it.
All of a sudden, I felt myself (and let myself) go deeper into that
sleep, as if I was doing some self-hypnosis, when you get to the deep
trance where your body feels a bit detached from your senses.
I felt myself rapidly slipping, and then all of a sudden, I felt my
brain convulse, like something was zapping it. I don't know if this
was the dream, or real, but I felt paralyzed momentarily, but was able
to break out of it. It was scary. I wanted to wake my wife to tell her
about it, but I couldn't, as I was so tired I was unable to wake up,
and sort of unable to tell that I was sleeping. It was like I was so
tired, I was sleeping on a different level, dreaming that I was
semi-awake. It was weird, and I don't know if I am describing it
accurately.
Anyway, I woke up afterwards and felt fine, although a bit groggy. The
"brain zap" was very troubling to me. I don't know what it means, or
if it is dangerous. I'm pretty sure I didn't have any stroke, I feel
fine and my facilities are just as sharp as they ever were. Anyone had
anything similar? It hit just as I was "letting myself go" into deeper
sleep.

Hi,
I don't normally write messages to this group but I thought I would in this
case since I belong also to the OBE-l list at onelist.com . It was suggested
to me to try the liquid herb called mugwort. I was told that it gives lucid
dreams as well as possible obe's. I had an obe the first night I used it. I
hope this helps you spranger. It can be obtained at a herbal supplies store
or failing that do a search on the net for a source.
I too would be interested in a preset for obe's as I would prefer to try
using bwgen rather than ingesting anything and the more methods that work
the better. A bit of diversity. Thanks.

Regarding the experience you described below:
All of a sudden, I felt myself (and let myself) go deeper into that
sleep, as if I was doing some self-hypnosis, when you get to the deep
trance where your body feels a bit detached from your senses.
I felt myself rapidly slipping, and then all of a sudden, I felt my

and sort of unable to tell that I was sleeping. It was like I was so
tired, I was sleeping on a different level, dreaming that I was
semi-awake.
I have had this happen many times...but never equated it with an OBE. I
have no explanation for why, other than it is probably lucid dreaming. When
we sleep, we do become partially paralyzed in a very temporary sense...so
I've always attributed this to just being in a hypnogogic state.
I have however experienced the vibrational state you are seeking. However,
it was through listening to tapes at a Monroe Institute training seminar.
The effect of the vibration, was very visual, speedy and lasted for about 24
hours after I completed the seminar training. I would like to know if
anyone has access to the frequencies of their furthest levels, or to the
tapes themselves.

I created a preset a while ago based on info from this list on how the
centerpointe tapes are structured. I then downloaded a sample wav. from the
NZ site which sells Futuremind , it was an alpha - Theta thing called
dancing dendrites or something. I had the most incredible time. I went
through heaps of childhood memories then an OBE then back into the most
bizarre Lucid dream where I kept floating to the ceiling and had to get my
wife to keep pulling me down. Lots happened and I loved it. But it didn't
happen like that again so I played with the preset until it became something
else. I can't really recall it exactly as I play around so much
, a bit slack of me.

Tom,
Mugwort, Artemesia vulgaris (ARTVU), is also called wild chrysanthemum
because of the shape of the lower leaves.....
Hope this helps.

I'm not real sure on how well this works, but on the presets section on the
BWGEN web page, they have an awakened mind thing. I guess its supposed to
be similar to this guys thing. Give it a try before ya go shell out the

You mean you had the "brain zap" phenomena? Did it frighten or alarm
you any? I never considered the sense of "detachment" as an OBE, my
mind just seems to focus away from the outward senses of the body. I
always thought OBE meant your spirit was free to wander independent of
the body. I have never been able to do that, although I have induced a
hypnotic state to where it felt like instead of laying parallel to the
ground on my bed, I was somehow perpendicular to it, partially sunk
too, I think.
Anyway, getting back to the "brain zap" thing, It was really weird.
The only thing I can equate it to was a phenomena that happened to me
after I read about something like it on the newsgroups.
While taking a nap, again, very very tired, I heard a sound in my
head, it was almost like a gunshot, but distant.
These phenomena seem to happen when I'm extremely tired.

Regarding the "brain zap" I am not sure that I interpreted it as a zap,
there didn't seem to be any sound involved, just the awareness of the
paralysis, inability to awaken out of it, or somehow let my husband know
that I was 'stuck', conscious that I was not in a normal state, but not
really being sure at the moment that it was happening that I was asleep. A
very strange feeling, not really scary, but more of loss of control (kind of
like flying dreams). The way out for me is to just go with it and
eventually wake up. This also only happens when I am very tired and usually
after I've been sleeping for a while. Maybe a couple of hours. I don't
recall when it first started to my guess is that is has been happening
intermittently my whole life. It doesn't seem to be related to anything
going on during the day, and I cannot intentionally get into that
space...so, I don't know what else to say...maybe is it really just lucid
dreaming and I should view it as a way to explore, instead of trying to get
out of it <g>. Had never really given it much thought before, and guessed
that it happens to everyone...I just asked my husband if it's ever happened
to him and he says no...so maybe it is a phenomenon worth exploring.

Mugwort dosage?

What kind of dosage did you use? A tea infusion, or capsule of the

Interesting that it promoted OBE.

I'm interested in the mugwort thing too. There's a site on the
internet that I found, some kind of wiccan or witch site, and it's got
a tea made from chamomile and mugwort for dreams.
http://www.oldways.com/vault_rita.html
I'm not into that stuff, but it turned up under a search for mugwort,
so there.

This is quite normal. What you experienced is sleep
paralysis, which we all enter so that our bodies are
naturally restrained while resting. When one awakens
in the Theta state (or a lower frequency brain state),
it's common to remain paralyzed in this way. Don't be
alarmed, it can be used to your advantage. Because
your body won't respond to the brain's requests for
physical movement, you can attempt to guide yourself
into motion (away from your body) without your
physucak self intercepting the commands.

This was a definite "zap" it felt like my brain convulsed, paralyzing
me, as I was descending into this ultra-deep sleep. It seemed to take
a good bit of will for me to come out of it, although it lasted only
seconds. It was scary.

So, if you used the bwgen preset which started out in beta (around
12Hz-15Hz) and had it end up at say deep theta (4Hz), with some sort of wav
file or whatever superimposed at the end of the preset to just say "wake
up", you could awaken in sleep paralysis?

Evidence suggests that ugwort can be smoked as well.
This should help it to cross the blood barrier faster,
and thus expedite any psychoactive effects.
Much interesting infromation on mugwort can be found
at: http://www.countrycottageworks.com/mugwort.html
All quotes in this message are from this site.
The medicinal parts of mugwort "are the above ground
herb and the rootstock." The most common forms for
holistic ingestion are as a tea or extract. PREGNANT
WOMEN SHOULD NOT INGEST MUGWORT IN ANY FORM.
"Dosage & Preparation: For tea, steep 1 tablespoon of
the dried herb in a cup of hot water. This can be
taken up to twice daily. Powdered rootstock may be
taken
at a rate of 1/2 teaspoon in water 2 times a day.
CAUTION: Excessive doses can lead to symptoms of
poisoning, but nothing to fear with normal dosages."
Fascinating mugwort folklore:
"Some of the virtues and powers associated to Mugwort
are protection, strength, psychic powers, prophetic
dreams, healing, and astral projection. Some
traditional uses for Mugwort are to use the dried herb
in dream pillows to assist in prophetic dreaming....
Placed next to the bed, it assists in astral
projection." (quoted from above URL)
There are other species of mugwort as well (e.g.,
Artemisia ludoviciana, including the rare subspecies
estesii, found in the northwestern US)... I wonder if
any other herbs in the genus exhibit similar
indications? I would think so, as Artemisia is very
diverse do to rampant species/subspecies cross-breeding.

Hi Don,
The dosage suggested to me by the herbalist dispensary is up to 4ml/day =
and up to 28ml/week. Anymore than this can give you nausea and vomiting. =
At least I think thats what the herbalist said.
If you don't know how much 4ml is, 5ml=3Dteaspoonful. I take this before =
bed. Also on the OBE-l list it was said that wiccans and non-wiccans use =
this herb for lucid dreams/oobe's.

It's possible. Occasionally I allow myself to fall
asleep to Alpha or Theta tones, and wake up in the
middle of the night in an odd state of mind (because
bwgen is still playing on my headphones, so I
sporadically spike into semiconsciousness). I'm not
sure if Beta frequencies (12-15Hz, as you postulate)
would be best, though, since you don't want to bring
yourself to full waking consciousness. Low Alpha (ca.
7Hz) or lower might be better. As an aside, I've
achieved the vibrational state when meditating to
binaural beat frequencies between 6-7Hz. To be more
precise, I believe they were 6.3Hz and 7Hz
respectively (separately, not layered).

This zap is an unsmooth Astral release. When relaxed and heading toward the
sleep state the astral body begins to loosen from the etheric & physical
bodies, if there is resistance the astral breaks away and manifests
physically as tonic jerks. The loss of consciousness is normal as
consciousness is only possible through the communication of the astral with
the etheric - physical matrix. Hence in sleep the fact we are not conscious
( The astral - ego leave during sleep ). Except when we work on extending
our consciousness with "occult" exercises and entrainment of various types.
It is interesting talking to people with epilepsy as they have interesting
experiences with this separation though taken to the extreme. Light is also
a perception experienced by a freeing of the astral (Colour) (etheric is
more monochrome). In the search for the OBE the state seems to be to fall
asleep but not into unconsciousness but into awakeness .

Another reputed substance is the extrace from a vine known as Ayahuasca,
which I've read is drank by many Shamans of several indian tribes native to
South America. This is some sort of hallucinogenic-type drug that they (the
shamans) call the "Soul-Vine", as it is also supposed to boost your healing
and psychic power.

On this topic I have found anything that is a muscle relaxant can be useful.
I have had OOBEs naturally but also after drinking Valerian tea.
Word of caution - if you make it over strong its *very* powerful and knocks
you out within minutes. Also my kidneys hurt the next day so I would suggest
that as for other substances you check with someone who knows whats safe
first.
It smells disgusting as well : )

Hi Don,
The dosage suggested to me by the herbalist dispensary is up to 4ml/day and
up to 28ml/week. Anymore than this can give you nausea and vomiting. At
least I think thats what the herbalist said.
If you don't know how much 4ml is, 5ml=teaspoonful. I take this before bed.
Also on the OBE-l list it was said that wiccans and non-wiccans use this
herb for lucid dreams/oobe's.

Having Used the Ayahuasca I Highly rcommend that you DO NOT USE ALONE this
substance should Only be used in a controlled setting with an experienced
Ayahuacaro Medicine Man or Shaman This is the grandaddy of Halucingens. I
would not use this herb also kown as Yage or Daime with any brain sync
sounds at all until I was very familiar with the effects on a particular
body 1st. Also a special fast and food restrictions are required before
using as it can be very deadly if mixed with ceertain foods. for more info
one can subscribe to Yage.net list address, to do so by send a message to
[email protected] with the body "subscribe ayahuasca". Also try

Is anyone familiar with the book "Healing codes for the biological
Apocalypse" I have the book and the frequencies which are a replacement for
the traditional
DO RE MI FA SO LA TI and would like to incorporate them in some sort of
brain gen they are much higher but I would like to overlay them or submask
theta or delta frequencies but am not sure at what rate to modulate or even
if modulation would be efective; would appreciate some help. Here are the
frequencies as described in the book.
1. 396Hz 2. 417Hz 3. 528Hz 4. 639Hz 5. 741Hz 6. 852Hz

I have read the book too. I have similar interests to yours but have not
produced anything with it yet. I think I am at the same stage as you are in
that I have not yet formulated a plan for how to use them. Please let me
know how things develop for you and I will do the same.

John,
Thank you for the information. From what I gather from all the posts,
mugwort is reletively "safe", if taken in moderation..
Thanks for all the feedback.

Using BWGEN to stimulate memories.

From: "Bill Perry" <[email protected]>

Hi, All!
When I initially downloaded the trial version of bwgen (last year), =
I created a preset which would just cycle between 4Hz and 8Hz in =
1-minute intervals, such as:
start at 8Hz,drop to 4Hz, rise back to 8Hz. This constituted 1 minute. I =
had this run in that fashion for 30 minutes. I had my wife lie down and =
listen to that. We had just had a baby, and my wife said that while she =
was listening to my preset, she had 'visions', for lack of a more =
adequate term, of certain incidences from her being in labor that until =
she listened to the preset, she had not remembered. Has anyone else had =
experiences like this? And, if so, which actual freqs for bwgen work the =
best for this? I am interested in seeing if bwgen can be used to =
remember stuff from EARLY childhood.
Thanks.

Hi
Last night I tried a different brainwave altering sound with binaural =
beats that I got off the net from zdnet (alphapro and also thetapro, =
both mp3) and made a tape of the alphapro. After about 10 minutes =
listening I started hearing voices on the tape then about 25 mins in I =
heard a distinct voice in the right earphone that mimic my internal =
speech occasionally as well as talking about other things. I =
occasionally had mini dreams which lasted a second or two then snapped =
back to normal consciousness. This happened about 10-12 times. After =
getting annoyed with that voice I turned the tape off and could have =
sworn I was hearing other ppl in my house (that weren't there =
physically). This lasted about a minute. Really odd. I also saw flashes =
of light while using this tape. Today when I used it I got slightly =
different effects. The mini dreamlets also seemed different and were =
less abrupt. The voice wasn't annoying this time and I got gentle =
swaying movements or at least the sensation of them occasionally. They =
felt really beautiful and calming kind of. Having been reading on the =
obe-l list, swaying movements are common with out of body travel just =
before you leave your body.
I think the more I use it the higher likelihood I am going to get more =
profound effects. The pink noise sounds like a strong wind blowing and =
wavers in and out.=20

This zap is an unsmooth Astral release. When relaxed and heading =
toward the sleep state the astral body begins to loosen from the etheric =
& physical bodies, if there is resistance the astral breaks away and =
manifests physically as tonic jerks. The loss of consciousness is normal =
as consciousness is only possible through the communication of the =
astral with the etheric - physical matrix. Hence in sleep the fact we =
are not conscious ( The astral - ego leave during sleep ). Except when =
we work on extending our consciousness with "occult" exercises and =
entrainment of various types. It is interesting talking to people with =
epilepsy as they have interesting experiences with this separation =
though taken to the extreme. Light is also a perception experienced by a =
freeing of the astral (Colour) (etheric is more monochrome). In the =
search for the OBE the state seems to be to fall asleep but not into =
unconsciousness but into awakeness .

Hi Larry,
It was written by Dr. Leonard Horowitz:
www.tetrahedron.org
I would highly recommend reading his book Emerging Viruses: AIDS & Ebola,
Nature, Accident, or Intentional first. You can get a better synopsis of the
book here:
http://www.trufax.org/research/horo.html
If this is new information to you, your initial reaction may be to think
this is the ultimate in paranoid conspiracy theories. However, if you actual
read this book, I think you will find the author to be highly credible, the
book to be extremely well researched, and the assertions backed up by a
wealth of documented evidence, most of which comes directly from government
sources.

Psychological effects X physical Symptoms

Hi friends.
I wrote the first "Psychological effects X physical Symptoms", and it is
good to see so much messages on this. Now, I will post my experience
with those vibrations. This text have been already post in others lists,
and I brought to here. Have fun...
  ------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hello.
I will talk you about an experience that I already had and I still have
sometimes (rarely). I already wrote for the mailing-list of the Monroe
Institute, "The Voyagers" (?), but I received few answers. Any report of
people that already went by the same situation. I find strange for a
list of "travelers"... I wait of this time the participation of all you.
Well, I don't remind the exact words, but the title of the message was "
The Shock Sensation "...
Sometimes, when lying to sleep, as any person, something strange it
happens. What should be the natural sequence of the facts, that is to
say, the rest, the relaxation and then to fall asleep, gives place to a
different phenomenon.
Suddenly a sound "leaves" the ears... a sound as the one of air
escaping, but the sensation is that is really some thing - a fluid? -
leaving, therefore soon after the weight notion is decreased. The
voluntary movements remain blocked, including blinking of the eyes, with
a small exception: a light movement of the maxillary and of the tongue.
Then a vibration, similar to an electric shock, invades the head,
traveling for the arms until the hands, and it is established for the
whole body. Surprisingly, the movement of the maxillary adjusts in some
way the intensity of the vibration in the cranium. When very intense, it
becomes too uncomfortable in the tooth.
Some researchers affirm that this phenomenon is intimately attached with
out-of-body-experiences, although some "astral travelers" don't have
these symptoms. But these researchers seem to be right. Three or four
times, on those strange nights, I had partial projections.
But now OOBEs is not still the objective of my message. For while, I
prefer myself to restrict to the study of this curious phenomenon of the
vibrations, and I would be very happy in receiving reports as mine.
Another curious fact: once, only ONE once, I got something extremely
fascinating... In some way, I perceived than that would be more one of
those nights. Then, already prepared, I caught my headphones and I
activated a wavefile of CoolEdit. Incredible! My brain answered almost
instantly to the stimulus! The most curious of everything is that of
this time the vibrations didn't come accompanied of the temporary
paralysis, then I could regulate the independent controls of volume of
the headphone and I did the vibrations cross from a side to the other of
the cranium as a magic!
POSSIBILITIES: Brainwave files, by itself, are not capable to provoke
anything similar to the one that I mentioned. But they serve as an
artificial stimulus and a way as to control and to stabilize the shock "
sensation, increasing its duration, and without the paralysis. This
offers an interesting area to be explored.

There is also a Deltapro file lurking somewhere but I have been unable to
find it. The web addresses in the documentation don't work. These files are
supposedly shareware and are 14 minutes long but what I do is make a
recording of the mp3 playing then save it and loop the resulting file to
record it to tape. I use Cool Edit to record with but any sound editing
program should work.
Have fun. I am!

Hello,
I have been luking around here, but so far no real interesting tips in
generating your own binaural sounds.
I do have one interesting technique. It is one of my first experiments.
I start of at 15 Hz (Normal), then drop to 2 Hz within 5 minutes. I stay
around 2 Hz (deep meditation) for 25 minutes and then gentely raises in 30
minutes to 5 Hz (for sleep), intended to make me kalm and put me to sleep.
I have been testing this for 2 and a half weeks now, and only 2 times I
failed to fall asleep. You have to realize that for the last year, I could
not get to sleep without sleeping pills. This experimental sound helped me
off the pills.
One other side effect is that I am very concentrated at my company all day
long.
Are there any other tips to improve this? I only use one voice and streaming
water in the background.

Hi
I would like the deltapro mp3 please. Thanks.
Just out of interest with the alphapro mp3 after I have been listening to it
the previous night, in the morning I wake up very abruptly and am fully wide
awake within a sec which is unusual for me as it generally used to take me
about 10-15 minutes to wake up fully. Now it is a sudden jolt into full
consciousness. This has happened 3 times now. I like it.

Here's another brainwave altering sound for you. It's a small program (1.3Mb
zipped) and plays brainwave synchronization starting at 10 Hz and going to 7
Hz for 20 minutes total. The url is:- http://www.hypnos.co.uk/freedown.htm
It is at an hypnosis site in the United Kingdom. Also there is a program for
subliminals (visual) which I found very good in relaxing me. Worked first
time.
Have fun.

BWGEN Comparison's to Light and sound machines

If anyone has used both Light and Sound and the brainwave generator, which
did you prefer? Which offered the desired change in consciousness most often?

BWGEN and Awakening Mind 1 by James Manning

From: [email protected]
Date: Thu, 16 Dec 1999 05:16:49 EST
James Manning is a rather intelligent fellow and he has given me some good
advice as to the use of binaural beats.
He has written a book called Awakening Mind 1 and says that about half of the
sessions are unusable through BWGEN and instead requied a piece of
hardware/software called Futuremind for best and easiest results. His site
is:
http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/jamesbmann/en_light/enlight1.htm
and the site where one could review the Futuremind software/hardware combo is:
www.dynamind.com or www.futuremind.com
If anyone has used the sessions in the book Awakening Mind 1 and has compared
them to the sounds and effectiveness of those created by BWGEN please write
to the list because I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks,
Chris

I am also interested in that deltapro mp3 file... Much thanks if you can =
sent me one for trial. There is a Holosync material which claims that =
the lower the carrier frequency of binaural beats the more effective it =
becomes because the neural cells have to reorganise themselve at a =
higher level, I am now experimenting to test its result.

"The conveniences and comforts of humanity in general will be linked up by one
mechanism, which will produce comforts and conveniences beyond human
imagination. But the smallest mistake will bring the whole mechanism to a
certain collapse. In this way the end of the world will be brought about."

Given the stature of the individual and the tradition, its worth making a note.

I have sent this delta pro mp3 file to multiple destinations.=20

The file is 3.something MB big...=20
As far as I understand, the file is shareware. If you like it, you can =

Don't pay me, I just downloaded it on some site about 9 months ago... I =

Meditation preset file

From: [email protected]
Date: Thu, 16 Dec 1999 23:46:19 +0100
This is the preset I was talking about.
It starts around 15 hz, drops to 1.5 Hz in 15 minutes and then for the =
next 45 minutes raises up to 5 Hz.
It was my first experiment and intended to put me to sleep while =
reducing the amount of time I need to sleep.
To my supprise, it worked and for the next week I managed to get to =
sleep without sleeping pills and the day after feeling very =
concentrated... Only on 3 occasions it did not work completely, but the =
concentration seems to grow every day... It is hard to ignore that this =
binaural sound is not working...=20
Meanwhile I have provided the sound wave (burned on CD) to 4 other =
people, so I am wondering if they have the same results as I have.....
If anyone out there has other interesting presets, please feel free to =
share...
What I search for is:
* Deep meditation.
* Reduced sleeping
* Improved learning
* Improved concentration
* Improved creativity
* Relaxing.
What presettings works good?
I have also another strange preset which uses 7.8 Hz and 2 Hz constant =
and then uses 15 up to 40 Hz +15 up to 80 Hz in about 5 minutes... I =
used it just before I went to bed, and I couldn't get to sleep for the =
next 2 hours :-)... Even with my deep meditation technique, I could get =
to sleep. So be prepared :-)
Have fun....

Mark,
What exactly are you hoping to achieve? I take it by
"Kundalini brainwave program" you mean a frequency
range that stimulates and promotes circulation of
kundalini, and/or increases awareness of it. If this
is the case, then I dare say you already have the
necessary resources at your disposal. To begin, I'd
recommend either lying prostrate (on your back), or
sitting in the lotus position. I don't recommend
sitting cross-legged, as this position becomes
unstable if the kundalini draws your body upward, or
moves you in some other way. Lying flat on your back
allows for maximum relaxation and effective
circulation, both of blood and qi/kundalini. Try
frequencies in the Alpha range to guide the
experience, and just let yourself go. As you become
aware of tingling, pressure, heat, or other signs in
your body, try not to become distracted by them, but
sometimes it's good to encourage the sensations to
amplify and spread about your body. Also, don't focus
too much on one part of the body. It's tempting to
gather kundalini in the hands, as it's naturally
easier for beginners to manipulate it there. But
manifesting energy in too localized a fashion can
cause it to stagnate: circulation is imperative to
good health. As you feel it coursing through you, you
gently guide your thoughts to healing or cleansing
certain areas of your body. you might also feel pain
or numbness if there is a part of you experiencing a
blockage of some sort. You can also hurt yourself
through the misapplication of your own energy. When
attempting to heal myself once, I found that merely
passing my hand (at a distance of about five inches)
over my kidneys caused me such acute pain, that I
doubled over. The phenomenon reproduced itself
without fail until I learned my lesson. :) BWGen is
great for escalating energy awareness and circulation,
but strength of energy reserve and control is
something that takes years to acquire. In my
experience, ~7Hz works well for achieving a brain
state conducive to energy awareness and stimulation.
have fun!

This sounds like the Chinese reference to chi energy. Is there a connection
between chi and Kundalini.

Mark,
What exactly are you hoping to achieve?
In my
experience, ~7Hz works well for achieving a brain
state conducive to energy awareness and stimulation.
have fun!

I created one brainwave with 2 Hz constant, 7.8 Hz constant and then raising
form 15 Hz up to 40 Hz and another one starting at 15 hz up to 80 Hz! I
guarantee you, you won't fall asleep for the next 7 days, but I also have to
point out that you do not gain any concentration with it.
I tried it and I couldn't get to sleep even with sleeping pills. And today a
girlfriend trtied it too, and she didn't sleep all nigght! :-)

It probably depends on person to person... My first trial did and still
works great, but the second trial, didn't do anything at all.
I guess that it does depends on the mood you are in and the starting
frequency. And then gradually slows down?
Just like a sleeping pill won't bring you into sleep if you resist it, your
brain frequencies are probably too high to start.
Maybe you should raise the starting 15 Hz up to 20 Hz in your case?
I am afraid that you will havr to use trial and error.
But I don't think that the volume does not matter that much. If you can
hear it without becoming deaf, then it should be ok.
Have fun.

has the pdf file, post it at this list, instead of those replies asking for
the file thru the email?
In case it is not possible I guess I should be add to the 'me too' community

Do you want to go to sleep or do you want to meditate? Also, are you a
registered user? I have several files but only send them to registered
users. some of my files are on file at BWGEN. I don't use bwgen much myself
anymore but when it works it works great. I used it mostly to get to sleep
myself so that is my area.

Marc,
I suggest trying Bwgen on a fairly low volume, and paying attention to the
binaural beats, which you should be able to hear if you are listening in
stereo using headphones. Try using any breathing or relaxation exercises you
are familiar with while you are listening. You need to allow the tones to
guide your brain - if you resist it won't work.
Perhaps your "confused" feeling is the result you are looking for. Are you
familiar with altered states of consciousness? Sometimes they take a little
getting used to.

recording from line or mic

From: David Swagler <[email protected]>
Date: Mon, 27 Dec 1999 07:17:58 -0800 (PST)
I am trying to record some sound to use as a background in Bwgen. I have a
microphone connected to my sound card. I want to hook my cassette player to
my line input and record from there. When I do this, I only get audio
recorded from the mic input.
How can I make the windows recorder, or cooledit, to record what is coming
in to the line input and ignore the mic input?
There is a Spirit who is awake in our sleep and creates the wonder of
dreams. He is Brahman, the Spirit of Light, who in truth is called the
Immortal. All the worlds rest on that Spirit and beyond him no one can go.

Right click on the speaker icon in your system tray on the righthand side of
the taskbar. Click on Open volume controls. In the window that opens, click
on the options menu and then properties and then adjust the recording
settings to use whichever input you want.

So far, BWGen has been interesting and challenging, encouraging members to
experiment with Bwaves.
Now this.
Sorry, Rolando, but it isn't what I was looking for on this group. If you
want to peddle this cant, there are many other groups with a bias in this

You can try this first... (I am assuming that you haven't done this... )
Check your PC's Mixer Setting. On the "OPTION - PROPERTIES" menu, check the
"RECORDING" settings. There are tick boxes there for each input. Be sure that
the line in box is selected.
Peace to all :o) OM

Steven,
I think I agree with your reactions and it is quite normal. I always
make it a point to listen to everybody's opinion with the intention of learning
and understanding. And you are also perfectly right to say way you have written
here and it's a good thing for everybody to express what they feel in a civil
way.
The only point that I want to drive is, with a more deeper understanding
of how our mind works and coupled with some backgrounds in meditation, one can
achieved a higher level of experience while using the BWG. There are more to BWG
than expecting instant result in upon using it. With deeper understanding, we
can explore other possibilities and who knows, better sales...
	Peace to you...

Please do not send large files to the list. I have a slow conection to Internet,
and requieres a lot of time to download the messages winth large file
attachments. I think i'm not the only ona in this situation. If you want to
share any file give the URL where everybody can download it. It could be agood
idea to create a FTP for this list, so any interesting file could be uploaded
there, and everyone in the list could download it from there.

A few questions....

Greets to all,
I'm new to the list, as well as bwgen, and had a couple of questions.
First, has anyone created a preset for inducing obe's, or lucid dreaming?
Second, can anyone suggestion some interesting reading material(preferably
ebooks) on related subjects. And finally, I just started using the quick
refresh(end focused) base preset at work(I bring an mp3 player with me and pop
it in after lunch), can anyone suggest a better preset for getting focused, or
one for use just after waking up? Thanks in advance :)

Unfortunately it is currently not possible for us to create a public
FTP site for the Bwgen list. I agree completely that large files should
NOT be sent to the list. If someone wants to share a file, you can also
send it to me at [email protected], and I can put it up on our Web site
and post the URL to the list.

Ok, folks. Since I currently am not using my web server for much (err...for
anything), you guys may use it to send mp3's / etc to each other. As I only
have 25 MB of space, I'll clear things out every couple of days.
My ftp server: ftp.easilyconfused.com
user: bwgen
password: bwgen
Just ftp stuff to the root directory, and announce it on this list. Now,
don't go crazy!! =)
Thanks!

Yes, chi (qi/ki) is essentially the same thing as
kundalini, although the Indian and Chinese traditions
take some different views about the phenomenal nature
of the energy and how it's affected. I personally
find the Chinese tradition to be more pragmatic, and
rely on it for practical study and application.
btw, in the previous message, I recommended like
'prostrate,' when of course I meant to say 'supine.'
